The World Series of Poker is one of the most recognized, respected, richest and longest running series of poker tournaments in the world. It is owned by Caesars Interactive Entertainment Inc (CIE), the largest online, mobile and social gaming company focused on casino entertainment, which is a subsidiary of the world’s largest gaming company, Caesars Entertainment.

WSOP currently only accepts players from Nevada and New Jersey. Please visit our poker state laws or seek advice from a legal professional.

Thanks largely to the integrity of the company and the quality of the software and customer services, WSOP.com is the most popular regulated online poker room in the United States. It brings the excitement and thrills of the World Series of Poker online, to eligible visitors and residents of Nevada and New Jersey. Delaware players can access it through the state’s 3 racing websites, operated by 888.

If you’re looking for a place to play online poker, this is among the best in the industry. You’ll find all the challengers one could ask for, a huge selection of games, top-notch security features, and most importantly, plenty of opportunities to win money!

WSOP is of course known for its Bracelet events where its live poker tournament series makes Las Vegas just that little bit brighter every May to July. One of the most respected and revered achievements for poker players is the elusive WSOP Bracelet awarded to WSOP tournament winners where players from WSOP.com in Nevada can win their entry into a WSOP event.

Security

When it’s owned by the world’s top mobile casino-themed gaming provider and interactive social gaming giant, Caesars Interactive Entertainment, one thing you can be sure of is that WSOP.com is backed by a wealth of security knowledge, attained over the years through rigorous testings, research and development. When they process millions of transactions, they know a thing or two about safeguarding their user’s personal and banking details.

When you play at WSOP.com, you don’t have to worry about any thing other than wining the game at hand, because all security matters are taken care of by industry standard security protocols employed by WSOP.com.

Software and Game Selection

100% safe verified software

First released in 2013, the platform, which is essentially the same one 888.com uses, hasn’t seen many updates. This is not necessarily a bad thing, and considering WSOP.com, along with 888.com, is regularly voted as the top US online poker site, chances are the client is working well enough.

Although a client’s appearance doesn’t directly affect your chances of winning, it does play a part in affecting how much you can enjoy the whole gaming experience, especially among the more tech-savvy, younger players. This is one area where WSOP’s poker client is falling behind. With so few updates, its appearance is starting to show its age, especially when compared to newer and flashier clients, such as that offered by PokerStar.

However, one advantage of not having so much “bling” in terms of the aesthetics is that the software is lightweight, highly functional and for majority of the time, runs very stable. To some, this might be perfect, and to others, this could be a let down. It really comes down to personal preference. All in all, the software is adequate, for now. But if a fresh coat of paint is not applied soon, it will certainly not help to bring in more players for WSOP.com.

One area WSOP.com does shine is in its game selection for both cash games and tournaments. As with many other site, the most dominant game as of now is no limit Hold’em games with limits up to $1/$2.
Also on offer are:

  • Fixed limit Texas Hold’em
  • Pot Limit Omaha
  • Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo
  • Fixed Limit Omaha Hi/Lo
  • Seven Card Stud
  • Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo

The second most popular game is Pot Limit Omaha, with a handful of Omaha Hi/Lo games at any time. You can expect to see around 40 cash games tables during peak hours. This equals to around 300 players as majority of the action is found at six-max.

Stakes at the site range from $0.1/$0.2 to $10/$20 for cash games with tournament buy-ins starting at just $1, which runs multiple times a day.

There is about 50 tournaments spread across each day. The biggest tournament is held on Sunday with a $200 buy-in. The guaranteed prize pool ranges from $15,000 to as high as $50,000, depending on the season. Smaller guaranteed prize pools varies between $3000-$5000 with buy-ins between $30-$50.

WSOP offers an excellent range of bonuses for both new and existing players.

Customer Support

WSOP.com is the only NJ online poker operator that has a dedicated support forum, which is kept up to date thanks to Head of Online Poker Bill Rini. Though as useful as it maybe, it’s a shame that it’s underused by the players. Though this might in fact be a good sign, because players don’t seem to have many problems with the highly functional and effective poker software.

They also have a 24/7 phone support, with its call centre based in New Jersey; Live chat, which is less accessible with daily operating time 3pm-11pm EST; and round the clock email support, though in reality, its more like several hours until you get any response, and that’s on a good day.

Generally speaking, the customer service is above average, and better than that on offer by PokerStars.
