He’s heading into the final table at the Main Event in 7th place with 26,175,000 chips: WSOP November Nine participant Griffin Benger is only one double-up away from the 2nd place in chips.
Regardless of the final outcome, this tournament is already the largest win of his career. All top nine players receive at least $1 million guaranteed. However, Benger wants to be crowned 2016 world champion and has set his sights on the 1st place payout of $8 million.
On October 30, the Rio in Las Vegas will be the decor for the resuming play. A remaining six players will come back on October 31 after the first three players bust. On November 1 a champion will be crowned after three more eliminations have followed. The final table will be televised on a 30-minute delay on ESPN.
At the final table of this Main Event, the 31-year old Toronto native, Benger, might just be the most skillful player that is remaining. Both in live events, as well as online, the online poker pro proved to be able to compete at the highest level.
