The world’s leading poker card room, PokerStars, is going to start a month-long online tournament featuring $50 million in guaranteed prize money. The event kicks off on July 5 under the name of PokerStars Stadium Series.

PokerStars Launches $50m Stadium Series

With most poker events canceled out this year, online poker sites in the United States have stepped up their efforts to fill the vacuum. Instead of attending events in Las Vegas or traveling across the country, players will instead focus on a variety of online poker events, courtesy of PokerStars, and others.

The Stars Group owned card room will start the PokerStars Stadium Series in July bringing in heavy competition and even heavier prizes as it does. With the Summer Series completed successfully earlier this month, the Stadium Series will come with a massive $50 million in guaranteed prizes across 120 events.

Some $2 million free tickets will be allocated as well, offering players a chance to take a shot at the big prizes based on player merit alone. The tournament series will become progressively more challenging as, the further up the series you go, the bigger the prize pools and buy-ins will become.
