Thanks to the release of Daniel Negreanu’s new documentary about his career, he is now a Netflix star.

During the 89-minute documentary people can take a look inside the “weird and wonderful” high stakes poker world, through Negreanu’s eyes.

The documentary, produced by PokerStars, was originally shown at the Toronto International Film Festival and was praised by critics and audiences alike.

There was an increased interest in KidPoker the documentary since its release in December 2015 and on June 1 Netflix put it on general release.

The documentary is now available to Netflix subscribers in New Zeeland, Australia, Canada, USA, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The general public will be able to learn more about the poker world and the game’s most famous pro thanks to this movie.

Viewers will be take on a journey through Negreanu’s life and his first contact with the poker world.

“This is a story of clear intention and determination, in that the odds were stacked against me, especially in the early year. I want this to be an inspirational film, so that when people watch it, they feel they can get back on the horse and pursue their dreams too” said the player.

Besides being one of Negreanu’s biggest achievements, this documentary could generate a huge boost for the poker industry.

In the coming months the poker community should receive a huge amount of exposure, since Netflix has over 80 million subscribers and many of those are resident of countries as Australia, USA and UK.

KidPoker has many moments of victory, tribulations and trails to inspire novice players.

The release to the documentary on Netflix could definitely have a positive impact on the poker industry.
