The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel will host a new poker tournament, which is expected to reunite hundreds of players and dish out prizing to the sum total of $2 million for the $3,500 buy-in event alone.

Seminole Hard Rock Plays Host to a New Tournament

The Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida has played a host to many poker tournaments. Now, news has broken out that the property is teaming up with the
World Poker Tour (WPT) to give themselves a proper power-up and introduce a new and exciting poker pow-wow.

With the festival featuring 19 events, the WPT Championship will definitely steal the spotlight as the guaranteed money for this one is $2 million. However, it’s worth mentioning that the buy-in is also fairly steep at $3,500 to enter the competition.

The tournament hosts are currently all agog carrying out final preparations for the upcoming action taking place from November 14 through November 28. As to the WPT Championship, the event will be the crowning jewel of the entire festival, in the three days between November 25 and the final day of the festival.

Hard Rock tournaments have been a success as early as 2016 when the Rock ‘N’ Roll Open drew in 5,000 entries for the $360 buy-in $1 Million Guaranteed.

Just as is the custom of most events co-hosted with the WPT, the event will be broadcast on WPT’s website, allowing fans to tune in and enjoy the action. Additionally, the Fox Sports Network will also broadcast the poker tournament live.

The event also received a lot of endorsement from Hard Rock’s Tournament Director, Tony Burns, who has stated that the Rock ’N’ Roll Poker Open has been one of the flagship products of the organizers. The spate of events comes amid a massive expansion bid by the Seminole property, too.

According to Burns the interest in the series was visible as early as 2016, when the $360 $1-million tournament brought in 5,000 entries – a number fit for many of poker’s largest festivals out there.

Following up on this success, the hosts are back with a new suggestion how to keep poker aficionados hyped. The festival will kick off with the $360 Deep Stack NLHE tournament which will be a big event in itself, caring a prize pool to the tune of $1 million.

The event in its entirety has been thought out well enough, giving everyone an opportunity to not only break into decent prizes, but also win a seat at the Championship, with 40 satellite tournaments.

The Hard Rock Festivals

The Seminole Hard Rock property has a rich history involving poker. Just in August, Brandon Eisen won the $5,250 SHRPO and many fellow players distinguished themselves across varied events. The event hosts published a press release, featuring some of the highlights of the upcoming tournament, too

  • $1,100 NLH One-Day (Re-Entry) $100,000 Guaranteed
  • $570 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry) $250,000 Guaranteed
  • $5,000 Eight-Handed NLH (Re-Entry) $250,000 Guaranteed

The tournament will also host on the “Win a Seat” program, which will offer chance to any player of particular merit to stand out from the crowd and gain an entry into the WPT Championship, and that in turn is going to be one of the most desired events here.
