Over an eight-day period with a series of low and high stakes tournaments, players living in places where online gambling isn’t prohibited will have an opportunity to take part. In the poker site’s history, the event is one of the largest so far.

The Crazy 8 Super XL Kickoff will be the most expensive tournament on the first day. This tournament has a prize pool with guaranteed minimum of $100,000. The buy-in tournaments range from $8.80 to $88.

Although there will be a few low buy-in tournaments on the next day again, with a buy-in between $160 and $600, there will also be four ‘expensive’ events.

The higher stakes online MTT players will be attracted by the $600 tournament that has a $250,00 guarantee.

Via a satellite tournament players can get in without paying the $1,050 buy-in for the Main Event. a $215 satellite is available with 50 Main Event seats guaranteed, prior to the start of the event on the 25th.

World Championship of Online Poker in Mini- Version?

Currently the annual World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is hosted by the world’s largest online poker site, PokerStars. On the same day as the 888poker Main Event, the WCOOP Main Event will take place as well.

On a smaller scale, you could call the Super XL Series the WCOOP version of 888poker.

The Super XL Series will most likely draw a great deal of attention to its brand as the poker site of 888poker experience an enormous growth in popularity of the recent years.

With the Super XL Series, 888poker is trying to compete with PokerStars that has hosted the biggest online poker events since the demise of Full Tilt.
