{"id":9963,"date":"2019-12-05T20:34:27","date_gmt":"2019-12-05T20:34:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onlinepokeramerica.com\/news\/?p=9963"},"modified":"2019-12-23T21:10:11","modified_gmt":"2019-12-23T21:10:11","slug":"updates-to-pokerstars-spin-gos-and-888-blast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onlinepokeramerica.com\/news\/updates-to-pokerstars-spin-gos-and-888-blast\/","title":{"rendered":"Updates to PokerStars Spin &amp; Gos and 888 Blast"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This week, two of the biggest online poker brands have decided to make some changes to their products. 888 Poker\u2019s Blast and PokerStars\u2019 Sits &amp; Gos have seen <strong>a few tweaks<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new version of Blast poker will have three players at each table, rather than four players.\u00a0 A representative from 888 Poker stated that the change was made because the brand wanted the <strong>games to start faster<\/strong> so that players wouldn\u2019t be left waiting long in between games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There have also been a few changes to the payout structure of 888\u2019s Blast Poker games. Previously Blast games had multipliers of that were 2x, 5x, 10x, 100x, 1,000x, and 10,000x the buy-in. Now, there is a <strong>new 3x multiplier and a 25x multiplier will replace the 1000x multiplier<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the players\u2019 odds of hitting the prizes have been changed. The odds of winning the highest multiplier have <strong>decreased from 10 in one million to 1 in one million<\/strong>. Additionally, the odds of hitting a multiplier of 5x or less are now 91.4% versus the previous 95.9%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several other changes to odds of landing various multipliers,\nbut they are all designed to provide a larger number of smaller payouts while\nmaking the higher payouts harder to obtain. This does enhance the excitement of\nthe game while providing more players with payouts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"spin-go-adjustments\">Spin &amp; Go Adjustments <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>PokerStars has also made a number of changes to one of its\nmost popular offerings. There are now new buy-ins, rotating games and a blind\nstructure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ten buy-ins are still available \u2013 but a number of them have been reduced. For example, the <strong>$15 buy-in was reduced to $10 while the $60 buy-in is now $50<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are number of changes to the special tournaments, too.\nThe $2 million and $3 million prizes are no more, after one player landed the\n$2 million prize in a $5 tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the huge jackpots are no longer available, PokerStars\nhas geared its new Spin &amp; Go changes towards providing players with a more\nenjoyable experience. With lower buy-ins, more players are able to join in the\nexcitement of these thrilling single-table tournaments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These types of games are quite <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"online poker world (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.onlinepokeramerica.com\/news\/pokerstars-announced-tempest-and-deep-water-holdem\/\" target=\"_blank\">new to the online poker world<\/a>, and it\u2019s great to see big brands <strong>working hard to make the necessary adjustments<\/strong> to provide the best experience possible for players.
