With his victory another top event has wrapped up, but more are now on the cards. <\/em><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pavel-plesuv-wins-wpt-open\">Pavel Plesuv Wins WPT Open<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Pave Plesuv<\/strong> crashed into the <strong>World Poker Tour Seminole Rock \u2018N\u2019 Roll Poker Open (RRPO)<\/strong> evaporating the competition and winning himself $504,820 in the process. The event was both quite contested and attended by hundred of players who had decided to vie for the big money. The Moldovan arrived at the <strong>Seminole Hard Rock Hotel &amp; Casino Hollywood<\/strong>, tackling 898 competitors in the process.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ICYMI, read all about Pavel Plesuv&#39;s dominant <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WPTRockNRoll?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#WPTRockNRoll<\/a> victory at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HardRockHolly?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HardRockHolly<\/a> for $504,820. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/c4A8aAwQ0I\">https:\/\/t.co\/c4A8aAwQ0I<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2thJHXYUzu\">pic.twitter.com\/2thJHXYUzu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; World Poker Tour (@WPT) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WPT\/status\/1068603593375145985?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 30, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The victory was well-met by Plesuv who spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onlinepokeramerica.com\/news\/wpt-returns-to-las-vegas-esports-arena-again\/\">WPT officials<\/a>, expressing his satisfaction with the result, not least of all because he had managed to improve on his score from three years ago when he also had the lead in the exact same venue, but ended up flopping.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It feels really awesome because I was heads-up three years ago at the WPT in Prague with a big lead and I lost it heads-up. So, I\u2019m pretty excited to come back and win.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Plesuv has so far amassed a respectable sum to his name, <a href=\"http:\/\/pokerdb.thehendonmob.com\/player.php?a=r&amp;n=178553\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">with his earnings reaching $4 million<\/a>, and making him a clear leader at home, where no other fellow countryman or woman has managed to come even close to the result. <\/p>\n<p>He managed to amass <strong>solid amounts in 2018 alone<\/strong>, finishing second in the <strong>partypoker MILLIONS Germany<\/strong> and winning $924,841 in the process. His success in the MSPT Venetian $3,500 competition was also most profitable, bringing him $640,062 in extra funds.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to WPT, Plesuv said that this had been his best year so far, but he\u2019s far from done. Though not overly confident about the matter, he also wants to try and compete in December, possibly adding even more to his earnings.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"a-field-of-competitors-deserving-respect\">A Field of Competitors Deserving Respect<\/h2>\n<p>All of Plesuv\u2019s rivals in the event were noteworthy by virtue of their skill and considered playstyle alone. The field of the final table was dominated by US players with four nationals making it into the final six.<\/p>\n<p>The runner-up, <strong>Jim Gilbert<\/strong> from the United States, managed to clinch $326,565, and was followed by his countryman <strong>Jeremy Joseph<\/strong> who finished the race third for $240,945. Fourth came Germany\u2019s <strong>Marius Gierse<\/strong> who ended up the game with $179,710. <\/p>\n<p>And the last two spots of the table were filled by <strong>Chris Kennedy<\/strong> who walked away with $135,505 in the fifth place and Ravi Raghavan who finished with the still respectable $103,310. <strong>Ravi Raghavan<\/strong> has won a WPT competition in the past, specifically the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldpokertour.com\/player\/ravi-raghavan\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic<\/a>, and had he succeeded in this year\u2019s edition, he would have been a two-time champion. <\/p>\n<p>However, the competition proved too heavy to overcome and he didn\u2019t have the best draw either.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the rather hefty entry-field, the potential return on the investment was quite significant, promoting nearly 900 people to participate.
