The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerstars.com\/wcoop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">upcoming PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP)<\/a> is one of the events that will keep us excited, too, with the $70 million in prize money available for the players who manage to distinguish themselves.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"partypoker-enters-the-fray\">PartyPoker Enters the Fray<\/h2>\n<p>However, the pow-wow that takes place from <strong>September 2<\/strong> through <strong>September 17<\/strong> is not the only big tournament we should expect. PartyPoker have decided to also have their say in the month\u2019s most exciting party meeting with now a freshly announced <strong>$60 million tour of their own<\/strong>! <\/p>\n<p>Enter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/powerfest.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Powerfest Online Poker Series<\/a>, scheduled to run from September 2 through September 23 and perhaps steal a bit of the spotlight from the PokerStars-backed event. The total number of events is quite impressive with <strong>670 different games<\/strong> for participants to pick from!<\/p>\n<p>You needn\u2019t be an accomplished professional to join either. PartyPoker will have you covered whatever your skill level and the buy-ins will range from <strong>$1<\/strong> to <strong>$25,500<\/strong>. With eight successful events already under its belt, PartyPoker is not quite ready to concede a leadership position to PokerStars. Not just yet in any event.<\/p>\n<p>The event is also expected to be the largest to date in the history of the portal. But PartyPoker certainly knows how to whip up excitement, too! On <strong>Thursday<\/strong>, the website will start running a number of qualifying events with a total prize pool of <strong>$50,000<\/strong>, allowing those eager to get an entrance in the tournament to knock off some of the entry costs. <\/p>\n<p>More specifically, the more players participate in PartyPoker games between Thursday and September, the better their chance of winning free entry to the tournament is. With a particular focus on novice gamers, PartyPoker will provide accomplished professionals with sufficient opportunities to prove their skill and participate in a rich selection of over 20 championship competitions. <\/p>\n<p>Over half of these events will feature <strong>prize pools that are worth over $1 million<\/strong>. The Powerfest event also released a number of promotions earlier in the month, namely the Sit &amp; Go Jackpot, Fastforward Rake Race, Leaderboards, and Power Hour in anticipation of the upcoming event.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"partypoker-the-unifying-force\">PartyPoker the Unifying Force<\/h2>\n<p>If there is any competition between PartyPoker and PokerStars, it\u2019s a good thing. The website has managed to expand the clout of the game at home and well overseas. Most recently, PartyPoker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onlinepokeramerica.com\/news\/partypoker-pushes-ahead-and-pools-spanish-french-players\/\">helped pool French and Spanish players<\/a> and the portal has been appointing a number of ambassadors who can help the brand get exposure and awareness.<\/p>\n<p>Poker action has been growing. It\u2019s no longer a matter of just a few events here or there. Rather, the game has managed to attract enough sponsors and players in all corners of the world.
