Phil Hellmuth is expected to grace viewers with his appearance and participation in the three season-ending episodes of Poker After Dark set to be held in Las Vegas on a subscription-based poker app known as PokerGo. <\/p>\n
The shows dubbed \u2018Holidays with Hellmuth\u2019 will run through December 19th to 21st. The first episode will be on Tuesday and will kick off at 3pm Pacific Time with a $10,000 buy-in six-player sit-and-go. The second day\u2019s episode will consist of a seven-player competition in a $100\/$200 no-limit hold\u2019em cash game. The 2017 season will then be wrapped up on Thursday with a six-player $25,000 buy-in sit and go.<\/p>\n
Other than Hellmuth who is expected to play in all the three-day episodes, other high-profile poker pros are expected to join in on the action. <\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the cast will also feature Randall Emmett, Dan Shak, Maria Ho, Mike Matusow and Antonia Esfandiari who will be competing in the $60,000 winner-take-all match. <\/p>\n
Emmett and Shak will return to battle it out with Hellmuth in the high-stakes cash game on Wednesday. Joining them will be David Sands, Rick Thompson, Avi Freedman and Zach Hyman. <\/p>\n
The finale on Thursday will feature some more poker bigwigs playing alongside Hellmuth, and they include Daniel Negreanu, Joe Marchese, Antonia Esfandiari, Joe Marchese and Maria Ho.<\/p>\n
The August reboot season of the \u2018Poker After Dark\u2019 event comes nearly 6 years after it ceased to exist at the end of the 2011 season. Before then, Phil Hellmuth was a regular player \u2013 the three-day episode will, however, be the first time that he gets in on the action since 2011. <\/p>\n
He was also known to be quite dramatic due to numerous meltdowns over bad beats and often complained on his way out. Let\u2019s just hope that the poker pro will handle being beaten with a bit more professionalism than he has shown in the past. Fingers crossed!<\/p>\n
It is still unclear whether \u2018Poker After Dark\u2019 will return in 2018 as Poker Central has yet to announce the way forward in that regard probably because they have their hands full with the 2017 slate that comes to an end on Thursday. <\/p>\n
The reboot season came with some of the highest stakes cash games in \u2018Poker After Dark\u2019s\u2019 history.
