The world\u2019s largest online poker site PokerStars is expanding their popular Megastack live series to New Jersey in hopes to give a much-needed injection into the State\u2019s falling online poker industry and draw even more players to its online poker base. At the same time, the online poker giant is also looking to rectify its previous failed attempt in 2016 when it introduced their live events for the first time in nearly six years, as well as trying to gain grounds on competitors WSOP and 888 NJ.<\/p>\n

Transferring Success In Uk To NJ<\/h2>\n

The Megastack concept was first introduced in London\u2019s Hippodrome Casino in April, where the tournament drew over twice the normal field at over 520 entries to the $220 buy-in event. The main attraction was the relatively low buy-in that didn\u2019t burn a too massive of a hole in player\u2019s pockets, yet offered a massive 50,000 chips starting stack and a flexible structure that was perfect for recreational players looking to get their feet wet and make their way towards higher level championship tournaments. <\/p>\n

The Megastack Tournament Aimed At Recreational Players<\/h2>\n

Learning from both the failures the Pokerstars NJ Festival that fell flat in October\/November in 2016 and the successes of the Megastack London, Pokerstars have made adjustments to the tournament structure in order to insure success this time round.<\/p>\n
