The list is updated weekly based on player\u2019s results from qualifying tournaments occurring over the previous 36 months period. Below is the current standing based on the newest update on May 10th.<\/p>\n<p>With the conclusion of the PokerStars Championship presented by Monte-Carlo Casino\u00ae, there are some movements in the top 10 of the GPI Player of the Year (POY) rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Bryn Kenney remains unchallenged, sitting comfortably at the top spot for the 14th straight week with a total of 377.97 points ahead of his nearest challenger, Sergio Aido. To put things into perspective, that lead is more than the score difference between the 2nd and 9th place on the Top 10 Player of the Year table.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the leader and the last player of the Top 10 POY, all other contestants have shuffled around on the leaderboard. Daniel Dvoress and Nick Petrangelo claims the biggest jump on the rankings, both moving up 5 spots to No.3 and 4 respectively. Ari Engel suffered the biggest loss, falling 4 places down to No.6, which subsequently pushes Koray Aldemir, Mustapha Kanit and Byron Kaverman down 3 spots from the previous week. Nick Petrangelo continues to lead the race, extending his run to 6 straight weeks.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"gpi-top-300-new-comers\">GPI Top 300 New Comers<\/h2>\n<p>This week the GPI Top 300 table welcomes 17 new players. The most impressive new comer, Pavel Plesuv, made a massive leap from No.345 straight to No.131 position, claiming the highest position from players previously ranked outside the Top 300. This, however, was not the biggest overall jump in rankings.
