According to a recent interview, Jennifer Tilly wouldn’t have it any other way then being an actress and poker player in a male-dominated world. While still being an actress at heart, Tilly has been one of the leading poker world’s personalities for more than a decade.<\/p>\n
According to her recent New Times<\/em> interview, Tilly has appeared in 79 movies. The almost 58-year-old actress’ first live cash was when she won the Ladies Event at the WSOP back in 2005.<\/p>\n Tilly could now hone her poker skills with poker player and personality, Phil Laak, since she won $158,335.<\/p>\n Poker Spotlight Embraced<\/strong><\/p>\n At times Tilly has made her presence and, her attributes, known since she became a regular fixture at the biggest poker tournaments in the world.<\/p>\n Unlike other Hollywood stars (Ray Romano, Toby Maguire and Ben Affleck) who’ve taken up the game, she doesn’t avoid taking up any kind of “pretty boy” labels. The older sex kitten of the felt embraces her role.<\/p>\n The woman with the Betty Boop voice is not afraid to wear low-cut tops during the course of a final table. She’s not planning to stop any time soon either with being shy of $1 million in lifetime earnings.<\/p>\n Ahead of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open’s (SHRPO $5,200 Main Event in Hollywood, Florida last week, she told author Nick Sortal of the Broward County’s New Times<\/em> that sees herself not as an actress any longer, but more as a poker player.<\/p>\n “I’m in the enviable position where I don’t have to work if I don’t want to. I used to be in a lot of movies that weren’t any good just so I could pay the plumbing bill”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n In love With Poker<\/strong><\/p>\n Tilly explained that she loves the game and can be on the TV at the same time, although she admits that it’s very hard to win a tournament in today’s poker climate.<\/p>\n “looking nice” counts as parts of her overall strategy, as she’s aware that every advantage counts at the table.
