{"id":1614,"date":"2016-06-22T19:25:31","date_gmt":"2016-06-23T00:25:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onlinepokeramerica.com\/?p=1614"},"modified":"2019-11-26T22:31:57","modified_gmt":"2019-11-26T22:31:57","slug":"open-business-wsop-hall-fame-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onlinepokeramerica.com\/news\/open-business-wsop-hall-fame-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Open for Business- WSOP Hall of Fame 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You can now submit your nominations for poker&#8217;s most deserving players, as the 2016 World Series of Poker Hall of Fame is now officially open for business.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to submit a valid entry, as ever, you have to obey by a strict set of rules to follow.<\/p>\n<p>When offering up a potential Hall of Famer the main checklist you&#8217;ll need to take into account is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Played against the best opponents in the game<\/li>\n<li>Played for high stakes<\/li>\n<li>Reached the age of 40 at time of nomination<\/li>\n<li>Respected credentials by the poker community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For any nominations that are focused on poker industry members instead of a player, the following attributes matter for the WSOP:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>indelible, positive and lasting results<\/li>\n<li>contributed to the overall growth of the poker industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Such members could be online poker site founders, media members, tournament directors etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WSOP Hall of Fame 2016 Decided On By Poker Legends<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The most popular players will be picked out and then submitted to the official WSOP Hall of Fame Governing Council, after adding up all nominations.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8216;Made up of WSOP staff and industry experts, the council will review the top ten nominees before a blue-ribbon panel of judges, including surviving Hall of Fame members, cast their votes&#8217;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Just before the final table of the WSOP Main Event a special induction ceremony will find place with the two players with the most support from the final judges, who will obviously earn a place in the WSOP Hall of Fame as well.<\/p>\n<p>Among the game&#8217;s greats there are plenty of players who are worthy of a place among them as is often the case.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brave Returners Nomination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At this year&#8217;s WSOP, Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson are possibly canvassing for\u00a0votes as well.
