As expected, World Series of Poker (WSOP) Day Two was an exciting day of poker. Yesterday, the Rio Convention Center was full of famous and and not-so-well known professionals for the Colossus II Kicking off.<\/p>\n
On Day One of Colossus II a number of top pros showed up to play, even though many top pros, like Daniel Negreanu are not interested in playing in a $565 tournament.<\/p>\n
A structure change has been made in this year\u2019s Colossus in comparison with last year, when the money bubble was only reached late on Day Two. This year, 15% of the field of all fight on Day One will receive a guaranteed payday of at least $833.<\/p>\n
Maria Ho, one of the most talented and popular female poker players worldwide ended Day One with 186,000 in chips. Maria made a strong start.<\/p>\n
Jessica Dawley, 888poker pro and another very talented player, busted in fight 2A, but got back for the 4pm session. Unfortunately, the South Florida pro wasn\u2019t lucky the second time around either. \u00a0She lost before she could cash.<\/p>\n
The adventurer and pro poker player, Faraz Jaka, had a bit more luck, as he cashed, however Joe Cada, 2009 Main Event Champ, sent Jaka to the cahier\u2019s booth.<\/p>\n
Greg Raymer, former Main Event Champ, also did not make it to Day Two.<\/p>\n
On Thursday other name to bust included Cord Garcia, Carlos Mortensen, Annette Obrestad, Allen Kessler, David \u201cODB\u201d Baker, George Danzer, Cate Hall, Joe Cada, Dominik Nitschke, T.J. Cloutier, Max Pescatori, John Morgan and Asher Conniff.<\/p>\n
All players started Day One with 5,000 in chips. All fights are 30 minutes each and there are 18 different levels. On Day One the final level has 3000\/6000 blinds<\/em> and 500 antes.<\/em> So, to survive players must be lucky.<\/p>\n For skilled pros the blind structures aren\u2019t advantageous, but buy-ins are only $565 and prices go up to $1 million, so many talented players still see the vantage there.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"As expected, World Series of Poker (WSOP) Day Two was an exciting day of poker.
