Over the weekend Ari Engel topped the Aussie Million Main Event. The event took place at the Crown Casino in Melbourne. After a lengthy and tough heads-up battle with Dunst, Engel won the equivalent of $1,120,110; this is the biggest prize of his whole career.<\/p>\n
The event started with 732 players, the fourth-largest turn out of the event\u2019s history and the largest since 2010.<\/p>\n

Ari \u201cBodogAri\u201d Engel, who was known as the top online tournament player in the world before the \u201cBlack Friday\u201d, had a big chip lead in the final table, but there were still six players in his away.<\/p>\n
Along with Tony Dunst, Kitty Kuo, Samantha Abernathy, Dylan Honeyman, Alexander Lynskey and local amateur player John Apostolidis were sitting in the final table with Engel.<\/p>\n
Samantha Abernathy ended up in third-place, winning $625.000. In the event\u2019s 19-year history, this was the biggest score by a woman.<\/p>\n
The heads-up battle between the final two players, Engel and Dunst, lasted almost five hours, until Engel came out as the winner.<\/p>\n
On a 10s-4d-2h-7c-Jh board, Dunst called, holding Ac-4c, to find out Engel was holding top pair with J-7.<\/p>\n
After the Black Friday, Engel started travelling the world, looking for tournaments. It must have being amazing for him to earn the biggest score of his career in Melbourne, where he used to live.<\/p>\n
After winning he said: \u201cIt feels awesome\u201d.<\/p>\n
