Brad Garrett Hosts Charity Poker Tournament at MGM

Brad Garret, comedian famous for his role as Ray Romano’s bother in the long-syndicated popular TV series Everybody Loves Raymond, made enough cash to spend in several lifetimes. The hapless cop became an beloved and iconic American character. Nowadays, Garrett performs at the MGM Grand, at this own comedy club.

What you may not know, is that Garrett loves to play poker. The comedian is known for hosting home cash games in Hollywood and for his charity poker event that this year will be hosted at MGM Grand, in Las Vegas. This Saturday, Garrett will sponsor the 7th annual Maximum Hope Foundation Charity Poker Tournament.

The tournament will have buy-ins of $250 and during the first two hours of play there will be rebuys of $100.

“I am thrilled and humbled once again to host this amazing event with MGM Grand. Maximum Hope helps hundreds of families and kids each year as a direct result of this. No parent should have to worry about losing their home or having thaie electricity turned off while caring for a child who is battling to survive. I am touched by the story of every family we help, and grateful for every person who attends our event. They literally make it possible for us to continue the incredible work we do, “ Garrett said.

The events will count with the presence of celebrities such as actor Willie Garson and reality star Jackie Ibarra. Besides celebrities, poker pro will also participate, including married pros Karina and Chip Jett and others who are in town for the WSOP.

“The Brad Garrett charity tournament is always a first-class event,” said Chip and Karine Jett added: “The Maximum Hope Foundation offers urgent financial relief to families caring for a child with a life-limiting illness, so it’s a great cause I’m happy to get behind. I hope the rest of the poker world do the same.”

The winner of the charity tournament will take home $10.000 and the final five players will also receive prizes.
